WHAT IS FSAE ?
Formula SAE (FSAE) is a design competition organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International. It was started in 1979 by the University of Michigan. SAE is a global professional association that provides standards for the engineering profession and donates money to promote STEM education. The idea behind the competition is for individual universities to field a fictional company to design, build, and race a small open wheel race car for amateur autocross competitions. Teams are judged upon dynamic and static events, where the static portion focuses on design and marketing, while the dynamic portion focuses on racing. FSAE is highly competitive and extremely awarding, as it allows students to learn much more than in the classroom and to obtain networking opportunities from the world's best engineering firms.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Our aim is to collaborate with each other to deliver unprecedented and innovative results that promote the STEM fields. This project seeks to develop effective design management tools and practices to assist in the integration of all aspects of the design and construction of the Formula SAE vehicle.
